Group Lessons

Many children are somewhat intimidated or introverted when performing or learning through private one on one instruction, which is why at Creative Endeavors we encourage the Group Lesson approach. Your child will interact and feel at ease with other children, in small, but manageable groups sessions. Many times they will interact with familiar faces and friends, however this is also a wonderful way for your child to meet new friends!

Many successful plays have taken place at Creative Endeavors studios such as: Newsies, Hanna Montana, Annie, Little Mermaid, Grease for kids, Cinderella, Charlotte’s Web, Wizard of Oz, High School Musical I & II.

Basic Music Instruction

Step 1: Introduce student to instrument, and the names of the parts of the instrument. Also, what their functions are. A good pilot knows more than how to fly a plane, he also knows the inner workings of the plane.

Step 2: Note Recognition, name and kind of note Explains to student the Musical Alphabet, and shows the student the parts of written music like, the G-clef, and the staff.

Step 3: Musical Alphabet Drill Teacher randomly says a note and student recognizes note, and plays it.

Step 4: The description of chords and scales. The introduction of the C scale, and chords: C, G

Step 5: Play Mary Had a Little Lamb with both hands

Step 6: Rhythm Recognition Recognizing value of notes and rests. Clapping exercises to understand the feel of the music.

Step 7: Application of Note Recognition, and Rhythm Recognition simultaneously. Student claps through song and then goes back and puts rhythm with notes.
